Back With a Bang

So it's been a while since I've updated, the first post this year infact! I hope you all had a splendid new year! From the comments over the last week or so it seems you've all been hootenanny-ing it up. For the record, I watched the fireworks from the comfort of my living room. The boyf and I made our annual Christmas soup (DELICIOUS it was), ordered a curry, drank too much tropical sourz and fell asleep on the sofa.
Job well done.

London was absolutely gorgeous. We had two days swanning around the capital, during which time we:

1. Went to watch Peter & The Wolf, narrated by Jarvis Cocker (how I love that man and his accent),
2. Experimented with Liam's new fisheye lens for his camera,
3. Ate and drank in some of our favourite spots, namely Dim T, Giraffe and The Kings Head,

And did a little sale shopping....

Left - Embroider dress from Joy reduced from £45 to £22.50
Right - Leather-look Uniqlo skirt reduced from £25 to £6.99

Well I did say a 'little' shopping. This was the result of the extent to which the boyf allowed me to have a look, which, to be fair, was enough for me. The Joy dress is absolutely gorgeous and fits like a dream. I adore Joy, though it can be sketchy. My year 13 prom dress I still adore, and yet some days I can go in there and feel distinctly uninspired. Cracking for occasion dresses though. And this leather-ish skirt is lovely. Slightly military, slightly sheen-y, and an interesting length. Yes I have already spilt curry down it, but I have been assured the stain can be rectified.

And I could not do a post- Christmas blog entry without showing you my pride and joy. I still catch myself staring at it in awe, and stroking it. It's not going to leave my SIGHT. For all you who commented demanding to know where this is from - I tell you now, it's not the real thing. But search Leopard print+Satchel on eBay and you might strike it lucky.

Merry New Year folks! :) xox

  8. Happy New Year!

I had a fab couple of days in London as well. If you can cope with the hoardes of people sales shopping then I think it's the perfect time to go. Love both of your purchases by the way.
