A perfect way to spend a Saturday

All photos courtesy of Liam

Just checking in this evening to assure you I've not run away - I'm just having a wonderful weekend in Leeds with my best friends from home. Today has been the perfect day - a hangover breakfast, chilling with my homies and Urban Outfitters.

Entirely unrelated cake shots but I thought it was high time I share with you my most recent culinary endeavour. Was made even more amusing by the boyf's family's assertions that I was entirely responsible for the above treats ("Mmm, delicious cake Claire!") when Liam would sit there thinking, what about me?! In truth, it was he who suggested we spend our weekend baking, both a fun and cheap and yummy way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

If you like the look of lemon curd cupcakes or a caramel apple loaf cake see the links - they're not at all tricky and feed a family of five pretty well!

Back tomorrow with tales of the North and a shopping haul to die for! What is your favourite way to spend a Saturday? xox

P.S. You have until 1st April to get a cheeky 15% off all Magasin goods (see post below), just enter the discount code  'JAZZPAD15' at the checkout. Lucky beans!

  16. Love lemon curd (in cakes, not toast - too rich for me). Have to take a break from baking though. My flatmate made millionaires shortbread this w/e and I am 1 mg of sugar away from diabetes... Oops! x
