Block Party

You'll have to excuse the title. I know it's terrible but it's Sunday and my house is covered in broken glass and fire extinguisher crap from a load of randomers invading our house party last night. Bagsy not doing the tidying up! *runs off to work to hide*

Here are a few of the looks I've saved as inspiration over the past few weeks. All very attainable, no?

I have not been so excited about a 'trend' since I can't remember how long. I don't usually wear lots of bright colours anyway, never mind clashing and all at once. Perhaps that's why I'm so enthused by the idea but it certainly makes me think of summer days lazing around in the sunshine and going on daytrips to the beach. It's a 'trend' I've had to seriously buy into, since most of my wardrobe consists of black, grey, navy and dark red. And even now I haven't got anything sufficiently bright to pair this beautiful new skirt of mine with to complete the full effect, this will have to do. Think I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for a turquoise blouse, this one has caught my eye but it'll have to wait until pay-day.

Skirt - Topshop
T-shirt - Topshop
Necklace - Flock Boutique

The necklace I'm wearing is a beautiful gift from my housemates, it's from Flock Boutique which is one of my favourite haunts in Sheffield. Isn't it lovely? I'm looking back at these pictures and thinking, well, I never thought I'd wear all this pink. I'm not especially girly (I didn't pluck my eyebrows until I was 18) but I think if worn in a certain way, with a certain attitude, I'm not just an Elle Woods wannabe. Nor do I have the blonde locks, popularity of law degree. Just sayin'. xox

  13. I always say I'm gonna try the color blocking trend but when I wear more than two colours I feel weird. It's definitely something I have on my list of things to do before I die.
