Still in awe

This is the quilt that my best friend Kate and her Mum has been working on over the past god knows how long for my 21st. Isn't it just beautiful? I really have been spoilt rotten on my birthday and this stunning handmade quilt is no exception. I'd completely forgotten about the "if you were to have a quilt, what colours would they be?" text months ago, haha. It's even so intricately designed it has foodprints dotted around which mirror my tattoo and travelling bug, n'aaaaw! It's something I'm truly going to treasure forever.

Today we've had a huge family day with lots of cake and lots of hugs. It's been just wonderful. There is nothing nicer than spending your birthday with the people you love. xox
