Work is the blackmail of life

Friendly Fires set, one of the countless highlights of my weekend

Never thought I'd find myself titling a post using Bono's words, but there you have it. This weekend has been a happy blur, and I am truly gutted that I'm not still wandering around muddy fields. I think I am more tanned than I have ever been in my life (sunglasses marks to show for it), and I'm still reeling after Beyonce's INCREDIBLE performance last night. That woman is so amazing.

I wasn't sure if I'd actually like Glastonbury; in all honesty I was equally nervous and excited, but I am so pleased to report that I absolutely love it! I have no doubt I shall return, and in the meantime I'll be watching aaaaaall the BBC coverage all over again to relive my favourite performances of the weekend ha!

Here are a couple of millions of photos to give you an idea of what made my weekend so special.

From top: Mud mud mud... Day 1 of the rain
The Park, where on the first night we sat up on the slopes and enjoyed the sunshine
First band I had wanted to see live - Guillemots and their brilliant set
Flags over the Other Stage
One of the many moments I was walking through the site and had to stop to take it all in
Seeing Bright Eyes in the rain, after 6 years of trying to get tickets!
Rainy Radiohead, an afternoon I shall never forget
By the Spirit of 71 stage, at various times over the weekend
The Kills, and their stonking live set, despite technical problems from rain
Top of the John Peel tent
Me and my favourite girl Kate, after a magnificent appearance from Dan Le Sac

Aaaaaaaah, now seeing all these snaps again has made me want to turn around and head right back!

  1. So glad you had a good time Claire. It had a wicked time at Glasto this weekend. Didn't make it up to Radiohead cos we knew it would be packed but we did get a good spot for Pulp which along with Beyonce were my highlights. Love the photos =) I barely took any this year (shame on me) so it's nice to see other people's. Bring on 2013!!

  10. Love your happy red face! Maybe that explains a very sunburnt man I kept seeing at work today too... Glad you had such a good time. I have repeatedly considered going but am never willing to cough up the substantial amount of cash. Maybe I just need to man up? x
