#brumbloggermeet II

So I'm writing this up instead of doing my placement follow-up assignments, slapped wrist. I've sought out some wifi and curled up with a cup of tea (which, according to my tweet responses, solves most things) I'm going over even more photos about the #brumbloggermeet last weekend. N'awww how I miss you lot!

This will be the last post about the meet since all of you are on about planning a part II and those who didn't go are probably sick to death/jealousy of it ha! If you're an eager beaver in seeing all of the goodies and freebies Fritha managed to organise for us, her post does more justice to their generosity than my measly selection of photos ever could! What I would like to say is a HUGE thankyou to Missguided, Max C and Motel Rocks especially for concocting three bags full of lovely goodies for everyone.

Special mention must go to Tescos; I was overwhelmed by their generosity by sending three massive bags full of clothes in different sizes, providing enough choice for everyone to take something home from their F&F range. Here's Florrie on the right having a good ole rifle through the hoard, and this is what I picked out from the selection, a lovely oversized knit, which, while being Summer isn't really appropriate right now, I am SURE I will be wearing loads of come Autumn.

Another little contribution I was equally impressed with came courtesy of Crown & Glory, who went to the trouble of getting to know everyone on the 'attending' list via our blogs, found out what sort of style we each had, and followed up by sending some personalised gifts according to our tastes. Getting anything for free is always a bonus, but to go to the trouble they had really made a big impression on me. The way to go it seems! In this case, they'd obviously seen my love for birdy accessories, and inside my little named parcel I found...

Finally, it's only right that the biggest mention and thankyou goes to the restaurant and the wonderful members of staff who put up with such a massive group of us in the evening on Saturday. Red Peppers in the Mailbox not only agreed to cater for 20, but ended up feeding 26, going over our allotted time by half an hour, taking over the back corner with clothes and bags, AND managing to feed us all delicious Italian food and serving us all at the same time. The head waiter could not do enough to help us out, if there was an award for the most patient and promise-fulfilling eaterie, this place would win hands-down.

And so put many a smile on all of our bloggers' faces at the end of a hectic day.

  7. Planning part two seems very good. And I plan to grin like a maniac and wave at anyone who passes so I get to talk to everyone! This might work against me though....
And there's never an inappropriate time for knitwear!
