#brumbloggermeet

So the weekend we had been all getting nervous/excited and generally planning for had finally arrived! I must say, Birmingham did put up with us extraordinarily well. We were quite a posse of yellow bags traipsing across the city centre last Saturday. As per, I'm pretty late with this blogging shizz, and if you've been keeping an eye on twitter for our hashtag updates you'll probably have noticed that aside from everyone being glued to our phones during the day, there were a fair few properly wasted merry tweets floating around at some point in the early hours of Sunday morning too (yes I'm talking about YOU EMMA!).
Here's Fritha in all her flamed-haired glory in front of most of the gang who came up on the day. I should say now that there'll be a proper goodie/freebie post coming this week, but this post was getting SO picture heavy it wasn't fair to write about everything all in one go. Having managed to get everyone together in one place, we had a mosey out of the train station and towards the city centre, where after an obligatory photo opportunity in front of the Bull, some ladies went off to peruse the Bullring, and some of the rest of us went vintage shopping in Digbeth.
As pictured, Emma, Florrie, Rebecca, Hattie and I had a good root around Cow and a pop-up shop opposite the Rag Market, where Rebecca and I found these B-E-A-UTIFUL fur coats (not real, don't worry Mum). They were absolute bargains, and a "Iwillifyouwill" sort of purchasing scenario. Regardless that it was the middle of July and pretty scorching for the Midlands, who cares!
After too much shopping and too few G&Ts in the Arcadian with Gem, Emma and Sara (wish we had longer in that bar ladies!) we took over Red Peppers in the Mailbox, but more on that later...

The real highlight of the weekend for me was the night out. There were loads of people I hadn't really chatted to much during the day (Danni, Eloise, and Maria to name a few) but the evening was just brilliant, and was a great chance for everyone to lose their inhibitions - ALL inhibitions - and have a good old girlie boogie at the HMV Institute. Thanks to them also for providing free entry tickets for a load of us, what darlings.
TOPKNOT TWINNIES! ♥ this girl

Another post to come, with pictures and stories of how we were spoilt rotten by Tescos, Missguided, Motel, Crown & Glory and more! All that is left to say is a HUGE thankyou to everyone for coming and making the weekend such a success. Fritha was incredibly instrumental in stitching it all perfectly together, and even if we weren't 100% organised, you lot didn't seem to notice (ha!) and everyone seemed to enjoy it regardless, so thumbs up I say. Like Gemma, I have severe withdrawal symptoms from everyone already. I'm sure I'll be looking through the twitter feeds searching for more pictures for a few days to come, and in the meantime, let's get planning the reunion!

Part II to come ladies... xox
