She should dance if she wants to dance

My friends are, without doubt, my biggest source of inspiration. Maybe it's something to do with their well-loved personalities being reflected in how they dress, or maybe it's because I just have damn cool friends. Or both. Probably both. So it's quite mental that though I mention them a lot on my blog, I don't showcase their style in isolation. This is the first in a series I'm putting together about my mates and their wardrobes. After all, street style and campaigns are secondary to me behind looking to my nearest and dearest for inspiration, aesthetically and beyond.

Kate (left) - I just know how many of you will be loving these tights and those Docs. Kate likes to pull out her inner goth / emo on a regular basis, and whenever I see flashes of red, plastic hooker heels, glittery eyeliner, or spotty skater dresses I think of her. She's got the most amazing figure, and can often be seen in nipped in dresses showing it off. The bag she's hiding is a Myleene which was formerly available in Dixi and blogged about by me here, but now the closest I can find is here. It's much like a Mulberry Alexa and in the flesh it's looooovely.

Hannah (right) - My little firecracker. She's forever finding gems in car boots sales in Sheffield, and has yet to take me to one - unfair. Her hair colours change throughout the seasons, not so long ago she was orange and before that bright pink. This snap was taken the morning after the night before (hence why I'm not in it, ha), and she's wearing this skirt. I always thought maxi skirts needed height to pull em off, but Hannah's a pint pot and she still looks awesome. Anything black, gothic and a little bit naughty, I think of her.

Whose wardrobe do you plunder? I'd love to see this becoming a more regular feature across more blogs, because if you're anything like me you've got loads of stylish mates too who deserve their beautiful faces plastered over the internet... xox

  2. This is a great idea! I know I'd certainly steal elements of my friends wardrobes - my friend Charlotte has a shoe collection to die for! Though I think the great thing about my chums is that we all have a completely different style; we are a right wee mötley Crüe! Xo

  7. I nearly bought those Doctor Martens but couldn't risk awakening my 15 year old self too much because I still look about 15.
This is a really nice feature; I always find it fascinating to see if groups of friends have similar styles or not. More please, if they are willing and not camera shy!
