Craving : Fashiny Launch

A couple of weeks or so I went to Birmingham along with a few other bloggers for a sneaky peek at the new website from Fashiny. We were all quite in the dark about what we'd be introduced to, but with promises of cupcakes, bloggy chit chat, AND the venue being my well loved Urban Coffee Company I couldn't refuse.

Here we are having a mingle, spot meee!

Turns out their concept website (which has been launched this week!) is a bloody brilliant idea and I'm amazed no-one has thought of it sooner. If, like me, you find yourself bookmarking wish-list items in your browser only to come back weeks later having forgotten about them to see that they've sold out... well there's a solution now.

Fashiny acts like the delicious for online shopping. Like the ASOS "saved items" tool, which is dangerous, as I'm sure you know. It's the easiest thing in the world to use and once you've got a profile all you have to do is add a "crave" button to your browser and then whenever you find something you like, be it on any retail website, you can save it for later and view it along with all of your other craved items in a collection designed by you.

Once you've craved an item and it appears in your collection, you can click on it at any time to take you back to the original page if you do decide you just CAN'T DO WITHOUT it. And it's pretty handy for putting a prospective ensemble together, particularly if you're looking for a whole new outfit for a special occasion. I envisage a collection soon being made on my Fashiny page entitled "graduation shoes".

Here's a screen print of my cravings so far. If you wanted a closer look, click here to take you to it (hello Christmas list?). You can tweet what you've found, email your collection, share it with anyone and everyone and that makes it such a useful tool to get feedback, suggestions, and generally shouting to the world that somebody with lots of money and lots of generosity should buy you that Chloe jumper.

The only downside is that it's pretty addictive, which isn't even a bad thing I guess! It's like window shopping without the hassle and if you've had enough of browsing, you can always come back to it and discover some more. Click here to have a play around and let me know what you think - they're keen to get your feedback and so far even though it's only a baby of a website I'm struggling to pick up on anything I'd change about it. What clever and innovative people they are eh! xox
