Every night we'll watch the stars

This is a rather over due post (what's new with me) but I've been lustfully eyeing up sheer maxi/mini combo skirts for a while. Even a year ago I had a Miss Selfridge number bookmarked for weeks, until that fateful day it had sold out and I'd never gotten my paws on it. Something quite demure and sexy about them. I'm a big fan of the sheer, the more semi-hidden flesh the better, IMO. But I've never tried the skirt way. So when AX Paris got in touch to see if I'd like to review anything from their collection, I saw this number and thought it would be a great chance to try it!

Maxi Skirt - AX Paris
Blue Shirt - H&M (via housemate)
Boots - H&M
Jewellery - Primark

There's a lot of nice stuff on the AX Paris site. I've seen them stock in New Look and House of Fraser but, like many brands, they're trying to reach out a little more to the online community. I was almost tempted by the red dungarees, which would really hark back to my five year old days, and they reminded me a lot of Sadie's last outfit post (isn't she as cute as a button?). But this skirt, it all of its dark and gothic romantic glory was too much for me to resist. And let's not start the ohthatsaveryflorenceskirt conversation k? It's bluer than it looks in the photo on the site - but looking at the product code I should've guessed it'd be more navy than black. I paired it with something longsleeved, (thanks Jess, the kind housemate for lending it to me), some boots to toughen it up and make sure I wasn't tripping over the hem (short legs, you know) and some gold jewellery from everybody's favourite Primarni. With this sort of skirt, I'd always cover everything else up as much as possible. A hint is enough. How would you wear it? xox

(Finally, a big thankyou to Claudia from AX Paris for asking me to be involved! This is a sponsored post in a way, however all content and opinions are my own. If you are interested in getting in touch to review or such like, get in touch. I'm not on the ball enough to do a PR page specifically so just ask, I don't bite!)

  29. Gorgeous - I really love the navy on you. Have been eyeing up these type of skirts as I don't really wear minis - haven't got the legs for them!- but this could be a cool way of doing it.
