Are we two worlds apart or in between?

Glitter dress - Topshop sale
Skinny leather belt - River Island
Camel blazer - Dorothy Perkins
Floral tights - Marks & Spencers
Chelsea boots - H&M

Morning lovelies! How are you getting on with your resolutions three days in? My big one is "spend more wisely." It was originally "spend less," but that's a little bit optimistic, being a blogger, don't you think? My big weakness is succumbing to buying coffee out and about, so I'm going to try and knock that on the head.

Just a wee post today to show off my NYE frock. I ended up outside Lincoln cathedral as the clock struck twelve, and everybody there was in such high spirits! I thought I'd pull out all of the glittery stops (as it's very rare I have an occasion to do so); this is what I like to call the Mermaid dress. I got it in the Topshop sale and it's sleeveless - much too cold to take off my coat that night!

I'm going to put together a post about my other sale finds in the week, how have you guys fared? Been frivolous or sensible? I have a love/hate relationship with sales, it's so easy to buy so much on the spur of the moment you don't need! This year, I've been pretty retrained, as you will soon see. xox

P.S. If you haven't already, check out Eloise's blog post on the #ldnlunch in March in London. It's a bloggy afternoon we're planning, so if you fancy popping down do put your name down as soon as possible!

  3. Love this dress, I saw it in the sale, wish I'd got it now. I really wanted one of the t shirts they do like it, in gold but when I went back to get it with my christmas vouchers they only had them left in pink. :( xx

  5. Booked my train for ldnlunch with time to go and get some macarons in Laudree :) Just got paid so I'm booking all my gig tickets, transport and paying all my bills so I know I won't have to say no to anything.
I've done pretty well in the sales, I've got a few mates birthdays coming up and they all have some amazing gift sets. I could buy them way more than normal because the Boots sale was so good this year.
I bought a leopard print skirt today and my mum says it makes me look like Bet Lynch so naturally I love it even more.
I'm such a boring slaes shopper, I bought towels and storage for my bedroom, lame.

  9. That sounds like a smarter resolution than 'spend less' - especially since you're a blogger! And your coffee plan is a great way to start - baby steps! :) whydont you invest in a pretty flask and make some coffe before you leave the house? Xo

I am a massive coffee-buyer when out and about too. MNot made easier by the fact my Uni recently opened a Starbucks on campus...

  20. That is such a NYE dress, well chosen! I was bad for buying coffee out and about, but then my flatmate bought a coffee machine, so I got a thermos with a separate section for keeping sugar/cinnamon/etc. Best decision ever.
