Fashion Maths

The Money Game is not my strong point. I am pants at budgeting and my short-lived attempts to do so usually result in a mass splurging spree a month later, so starved I am of the occasional purchase. So, being a student, I will make the most of all incentives to save money whilst still getting my shopping thrill box ticked, thankyou very much.

So of course my ears prick up when I hear of special student discount weeks across the high street, and I know a lot of you lot are students so I thought I would share the buzz that Republic is stirring up in my fashiny wishlists (and because I rather love making up dream outfits). Between the 23rd January (that's today!) and 5th February they're holding a 20% discount* for all you lucky lot with a valid NUS card. Which makes the fashion maths on these wishlists a helluva lot more attainable.

The more black, oversized and grey marl stuff I see, the more I want to don lots of black eyeliner and listen to Nirvana. And this ensemble really enhances this desire for me to pretty I am a nineties child (well, I am, but not like that). I've walked past these boots in the window of my local Republic SO. MANY. TIMES. I think there is a high probability they'll end up on my shoe rack at some point this week.

And to completely change the tune I also kinda like the sweetness and Spring-y feeling that this outfit evokes. Yes yes I know I'm planning for those warm sunny afternoons where I can sit in the park and have a BBQ without needing to cover my legs up, but it's good to be planning in advance right?

Out of all of these I think I'm most likely to get that denim floral dress. It's the sort of frock you can throw on and look instantly together with minimal effort. And with 20% off for you lucky NUS bunch it's a snip at twenty quid! You can see more deets on their Edit Blog aswell if you don't have a local shop you can drool over. xox

* Just so you know, the double student discount can be used in conjunction with Get It Or Regret It, 2 for £30, 2 for £12 and 3 for £10 in store only. The double discount is still redeemable online but not on top of other offers or discounts.

PS. Thankyou everyone for your shoe suggestions! I'm thinking I might get this and just have a blue day (in the happiest way possible) x
