Move dust through the light

Happy Wednesday everyone! I'm in a bit of a sombre mood now because I've spent a fantabulous whole day and night with my best friend, and now she's gone home, and I already miss her squillions. Yes I'm a soppy git but I just LOVE her. Waaah.

So I thought the tone of these photos was pretty apt for my mood haha. You might've seen a few disgruntled bloggers on twitter harping on about the terrible delivery service from River Island (mainly me and Vicky haha). It took over 9 days for me to get an email saying this skirt had been dispatched, which is pretty rubbish, even for Christmas time. All the same, it was well worth the wait because I properly love it.

Maxi jersey skirt - River Island
Boots - H&M
Sheer black shirt - Primark

I've got relatively short legs in comparison for my body, so I always totally discounted maxis for fear of them swamping me. So this one, which hits just above the ankles when worn highwaisted, is perfect. I kind of feel like a 90s child in this, give me a load of cross jewellery and I'm good to go. xox

P.S. I've just got back from seeing Shame with my sister from another mister, and MY GOD. I've never seen so much penis in all of my life. It was brilliant though - very intense and uncomfortable. I could start writing about cinematic technique now (always good to have a post-Showroom debrief), but if you're not a prude, go and see it anyway. Then tweet me with your analogies. x

  13. It may have taken a long time to arrive but it's bloody gorgeous, as is the whole outfit! I picked up a maxi skirt for £10 in the sale at BS8 (a shop in Bristol) but I haven't worn it yet, just have no idea what to wear it with, thinking wellies and thickthick tights if it snows aha, I don't have any long boots xx

  14. I cracked up at the last paragraph!! Haha.

Seems like a pretty skirt, even if you had to wait for a while to get it. I had the same problem over the Christmas period as well.
But at least it's a gorgeous skirt! Love it.

  16. This is a completely beautiful maxi dress, I struggle with maxi dresses because of my height, but when I find one that works for me - I basically live in them. That is really cute - jealous.

  21. Aww I hate that feeling when you've spend a bunch of time with a good friend you don't get to see often and then they/you go home. :( You look lovely though! I've not heard of Shame..I'm intrigued.

Not been to see a film for ages, really want to see War Horse because Benedict Cumberbatch is in it but I know it is sad, hate sad films. Musicals all the way for me x

  27. Thats a lovely dress,

I really want to see that film, it looks pretty intense. I love the Showroom too. Any cinema where you can take your drinks into is good for me!
