This year, I'll be graduating, and the logical solution in my head is to move home come July. I've been worried about this and have aired my fears on the old Blog before, but what is keeping me going in one way is the premise of re-doing my bedroom (yay). At the moment, it's full of things I never use, and was decorated when I was only 15, so it's in desperate need of a revamp!
Hmmm. There seems to be a theme emerging. I'm thinking fairy lights, big windows, no particular colour scheme to think of, feeling like a den, and interesting degree-related wallpaper. The only limitation is a deep red carpet which was too expensive to just remove for no good reason, but all of these ideas could fit in with these I reckon? xox

I love room decor pictures like these ones, I find them so inspiring! I have done one room post before and plan lots more.. I love re-arranging and decorating my room and these beautiful photo's have definetley inspired me :)
ReplyDeleteFab inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI've been scouring weheartit for my own bedroom inspiration for when I move out of halls next year and a lot of the images I've saved are in this post! Fairy lights are so cute and make rooms look so cosy and safe and I lovelovelove the globe wallpaper! All of those will definitely go with a red carpet, it'll be nice to have a spot of colour to the room and red is a really den/study/cosy kinda colour in my opinion :) x
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty :) I'm moving out of my parents' house in september so I get to be all excited about decor and furniture, yay!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to redecorate my room and these are wonderful :)xx
ReplyDeleteOmg I love all of these so much! I'm redecorating my room at the moment but going for a full on Cath Kidston look. Perhaps slightly boring/safe but I want my room to feel/look like a guest bedroom or hotel room to try and help my insomnia. Trouble is I have a massive urge to clutter it all up because I like that look too! Planning on a big area full of inspirational pictures and stuff like the top right and bottom right pictures though :)
ReplyDeleteSecond row down on the right is amazingggg fairy lights galore :D

I love seeing room inspiration, fairy lights are always a must! xxx
ReplyDeleteI reckon it could work with the carpet as it's a warm colour - have cream walls instead of white, for example. And OHMYGOD that room with the window for a wall - how amazing?? xxx
ReplyDeletei think i need to redo my room... i love the inspiring pictures you posted!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, each of the rooms looks cosy, I like the full closet and fairy lights

Gosh, what beautiful photos! I get what you mean re: room vibe, there are some sweet snow flake fairy lights at Ikea at the moment which have a battery (saves on wires needing to be plugged in) ! For my temp space I've kind of created a misc fabric ensemble consisting of prayer flags, shawls, and misc silk across my window which is nice and crafty but also homely (& a sweet place to hang scarves) good luck! x
ReplyDeleteIkea is great for picking up little bits and pieces, love the idea of fairy lights. I always think they make a room look so homely!

Oh, gosh, having to move home when I graduate is terrifying me, too! Living so far away has taught me total independence and the thought of being back with my parents in a city I had is killing me.
ReplyDeleteBUT, I love the idea of revamping my room in their house! I think it was last done when I was eight, so it's totally embarrassing now!
The world map on the wall is so wonderful - I WANT <3
The room with the huge map is awesome :) I am quite obsessed with vintagey maps at the moment so that is right up my street xox
ReplyDeletethis makes me want to redecorate
ReplyDeleteOoh, I want hexagonal shelves! Mine would be much fuller though... x
