Style Icon: Fearne Cotton

Fearne has always been a cool cookie (okay, well maybe not always) but recently I have been especially coveting her style. Her fashion sense is very up my street, indie, androgynous, laid-back, layered, with a vintage twist. She's endlessly photographed going to and from work and I can almost believe she's the sort of girl who falls out of bed, grabs the nearest clothes and runs out of the door. Low-maintenance, I'd like to believe. Case in point one...

What isn't low-maintenance is her collection of shoes. Now I'm sure she is sent free pairs by the dozen, but that doesn't stop my trying to find replicas for my own personal wishlist! This of course all feeds into my goal of cultivating a more work-worthy shoedrobe, and although these are more casual shoes really, especially the wedge sandals - how gorgeous, I reckon I could smarten them up if I needed to.

Her style makes me want to wear all my clothes all at once, I know that might sound strange. It's just so refreshing to see a celeb not being such a try-hard with ticking boxes. I don't think she's got the expectation (and hence, potential fall) that Alexa succumbs to for being so darn stylish, and I don't think Fearne can be pigeon-holed. She does glamour just as well as she does scruffbag, which, for me, who usually sits under the latter category, is definitely something attainable to aspire to. I've got the leather boots and leopard-print nailed, but the more I look at those black wedges the more I conjure up ideas to team them with lace ankle socks and a-line skirts. Lush! xox

  8. Really love what she wears, always very chic. I used to be more Holly, all dresses and a bit mumsy but after being on WW for a year I feel a bit more confident and love stealing her style. Love how she is feminine but rock and roll x
