Lovely Jub'lee

It's the last Jubilee related post I promise! I can't get enough of all things British, summery and patriotic this week, so as soon as I got back from London at the weekend, rather than retreating into Jubilee-less quiet, we got the summer fruits out, and decorated the house for a lovely family meal with my Grandparents.

This didn't last long, unsurprisingly! Yum

What made my Jubilee celebration weekend extra special was the box of goodies kindly sent to me and a few other bloggers by George at Asda. You might've seen Maria & Fritha celebrating in their own ways already this week, amongst others - and coincidentally, Maria and I were sent the same frock with an iconic strawberry print (click here to see the range). I paired my dress with my Doc Martens, you can't get much more British that that!

I'm still recovering from the Jubilee celebrations, and starting my new job this week. I've moved Starbucks stores closer to where my parents live to save up for some unpaid internships I have planned in the summer. It has felt like such a shift in lifestyle already - being back home, new job, seeing different friends, but I'm trying to remind myself it's a new chapter, as well as the end of an old one.

Finally, thankyou George for helping me celebrate my Jubilee get-together in style! How did you guys celebrate? Send me your links of posts documenting your momentous day :) xox
