The Fushigi Shop : Cameo Nail Tattoos

Yes I am still alive!! I finally got around to trying out Yasumi's new nail art designs this week from The Fushigi Shop and they've had such a good response from my friend and at work, so I thought I'd show them off here too.

I used Models Own in "Pink Fizz", Essie in "A Crewed Interest," and "Ladies in Shadows" nail stickers

I'm pretty low maintenance so as much as I like the idea of complicated, fiddly multi-coloured designs drawn by hand, I just don't have the patience to master them. Cue Yasumi's beautiful stick-on designs, which, within a few seconds, turned my otherwise average looking tips into a really unique design. I was sent a selection of themes (including some awesome skulls in top hats. Yes.) but my favourite are definitely the cameo style silhoettes, which I tried at first with an ivory polish undercoat but I actually think looks better with a more coral-ly pink tone.

If you're anything like me and want to get more onto the nail art bandwagon but don't have the time in a busy day to experiment with designs, these are definitely for you. You basically cut out a design to fit your nail, peel off the brown backing paper, stick them on, and finish with a couple of coats of clear topcoat. Would you call them nail tattoos? Either way, they're not permanent, so if you want a change of image, they wash off with ordinary nail varnish remover.

Man alive it feels like I haven't blogged in aaaaages! This week I've been working my socks off on placement, I've been phoning journalists, researching, helping at events outside of the 9-5, and updating social media. It has been a real eye opener into the world of PR and so far I'm really enjoying the fast-paced agency environment. I always get stupidly nervous before any new role (and I have had LOTS of jobs), and overcompensate by tricking myself into acting confident. It's my last day and I am really sad to be leaving just after I'm starting to get my teeth into it. And lots of love to everyone who responded to my "what makes a perfect press day?" post last week. More on that later on.

  10. I'm ordering these straight away! What a great idea! I always try and make an effort with my nails as I love how nail art looks, but I end up with a perfect left hand and a wobbly right hand!
