Grazia Project - let's get Sheffield on the map!

Over the summer, Grazia are putting together a regional issue for my beloved North, and I am so happy to say that they're including Sheffield in their round-up. And so they should, right?

Having worked, lived and studied in the city for over three years - I've become rather fond of our Steel City, in all of its former industrial glory. I've wandered forgotten streets in the dead of night, discovered the tastiest and quirkiest eateries and bars, fallen in love with the innovative and stylish regeneration of the city centre, and of course scouted out best places to grab a stylish bargain. I sing Sheffield's praises across my blog so often, so I was hugely flattered to be asked to be an ambassador for my city in Grazia's special regional issue, coming out 21st August 2012! How exciting!

And this weekend - Grazia are going to be running around Sheffield city centre and beyond to soak it all up and do some hotspot hunting of their own! So I put this to you - where should we send them? Where do you think we should recommend for a reet unforgettable weekend which will convince them that our Sheffield is worthy of Northern recognition in Grazia?

Here's a few of my favourite places, hang outs, and memories, over the past three years...

As part of this project I'll be encouraging fellow Sheffield bloggers (like you? Get in touch!) to spread the love for our city, offering the best suggestions for where to go, where to hang out, and where to shop. If you have any suggestions of where Grazia should head to this weekend, or if you've got a Northern story to tell of why you love Sheffield SO MUCH (and I know some of you do), let's share the love and put Sheffield on the magazine map!

  7. I've never been to Sheffield so I can't really offer any good places to go or see but I just love the fact that the North is finally getting on the fashion map! I'm from much futher North and we're generally just forgotten it seems with such focus on London, so it's nice to see a little focus up our way for a change (: xx

  8. I have only been to Sheffield once but I loved it, such a fascinating city! My favourite part was the quote "One cannot be unhappy when one looks at a penguin" on the wall in the Winter Gardens! <3

  11. I really need to get myself to Sheffield again sometime soon, its so close to Leeds but I've only been once about 5 years ago for a uni open day... My dad was in a horrific mood after struggling to find a parking space so I didn't get the best impression of the city that day!
You lucky thing getting to work on this feature- massive congratulations!

I'm glad Fancie made the Sheffield piece, literally the best cupcakes I have ever tasted.
