Walking tall

I've got a job!! After 3 internships and in the past couple of weeks scaring myself silly that I'd still be unemployed by Christmas - I have my first job since graduating! I've been interning at a PR agency and, yesterday, at the end of my third week, I was called into the Boardroom by my boss (genuinely convinced he'd tell me not to bother coming back on Monday) and then, "So, do you want to stay?" As a Junior Account Executive, it's my first step on the PR ladder and I cannot express how happy and relieved I am! Thanks for all of the well wishes, I'm so chuffed.

Leather panel dress - H&M
Studded platforms - c/o Tribeca
Bags under my eyes - c/o Commuting

I can chill out a bit now! This weekend I'm off out to celebrate one of my mate's 21st birthdays. And I am SO READY for a party. I've finally found an occasion to bring out the leather panel dress that I bought months ago. It's one of those pieces that you um and ah over for weeks; every time I'd pop into my local store I'd try it on and then convince myself I didn't need it. And then I'd get home and wish I'd bought it.

If I can last in them all night, I'll be wearing my new platforms from Tribeca Shoes tonight! I've seen so many bloggers test out the Lita-inspired platforms over the past few months, and I was waiting for the perfect pair to come along before I did too. I liked these for the studs down the heel, which adds a bit more interest. They are ridiculously high, and I'm not going to say they're easy to walk in, but they're certainly comfier than I was expecting. And practice makes perfect, right?

Can't profess to be an absolute expert on the area, but I went to Uni in Leicester (and am returning there for a post-grade course in September!) and I think its a great place to live/work/study :)
