Dog skirt in Notions

I'm so chuffed with these photos. I've said over the past couple of posts I really want to raise the bar with my blog photography. As much as I'm a lady of words over pictures, blogs are so reliant on good visuals, so I wanted mine to reflect that.

These were taken in Notions Antiques in Grantham, which is my unlikely favourite haunt to find furniture. Now I'm looking at getting my own place I've been scouting out second hand pieces like dressers and bookcases, I can't wait! Full post to come about that particular gem of a store.

Dog skirt in Notions
Brown 3/4 sleeve wool coat - Dorothy Perkins
Denim shirt - Topshop
Dog skirt - Champagne Diamond
Chelsea boots - H&M

Anyone who knows me at all knows I'm obsessed with dogs of all shapes and sizes, so when I saw Liv in this amazing print mini I just had to get one! It's very tongue in cheek and Liam says it looks like a novelty Christmas skirt, which is fiiiine by me. It's a conversation starter, right?

Hope you've all had lovely Sundays? I've been eating bacon sarnies and getting excited about going to see Skyfall tonight! eeeee!

  8. We should most definitely talk dogs sometime! You've styled this skirt so lovely, it looks perfect with the denim!

I know what you mean about the blog photography. I would like to take mine further but it's so hard when you're living in a cramped student house with just a tripod. This setting looks beautiful though.
