The hunt for the perfect grey t-shirt

These photographs have been languishing in my "fashion to post about" folder for a few days now so while I'm still unpacking all of my shoes in my new flat, I thought it would be a good time to write about it. It's actually the last ever blog outfit post at my Mum's house (it still feels so weird saying that), and considering it was quite a thrown-together blogger ensemble I quite like it!

I've come to the conclusion that I often have a wishlist for pieces that actually don't exist. This has happened before (e.g. leather gilet, until they were EVERYWHERE), and most recently I've found it very difficult to find a decent grey t-shirt. The High Street seems determined to convince me that the way laydeez wear their jersey is low cut and see-through. No ta. Luckily for me, Primark mens once again came up trumps, and I'm seriously considering buying 20 of these t-shirts for safekeeping.

Tiedye skirt - Lavish Alice
Grey t-shirt - Primark mens
White patent shoes - c/o Soyoushoes
Beanie - c/o Spartoo

I'm also wearing this gorgeous tie-dye maxi from Lavish Alice that I hunted for after seeing this beaut looking bloody awesome in her Dr Martens.

It's been a week since I moved out and as well as being super energetic from the extra 20 minutes of sleep I get each morning, I've been getting into the routine of flat-ownership. Home chores like cooking and cleaning will tire very quickly, but right now I feel like the epitome of domestic goddess! Flat tour to come very soon I promise, but no-one wants to see lots of boxes cluttering up the place, plus it wouldn't be a flat tour without bouquets of flowers everywhere a la Katy now would it?

  1. Forever hunting for the perfect staple items! I love the skirt SO much xo

  2. Yay for the Primark men's section! They have better t-shirts it really isn't fair.
    The skirt is amazing too.

  3. I'm always on the hunt for the perfect set of basics, one day when I'm rich I'll only buy LNA! ;) Good spot, the men's section also has lots of awesome accessories!

  4. Primark mens for the win. Always. I can not live without a decent grey top. So excited to see your flat!!

Need more simplistic outfits like this for uni!

  6. Love Primark so much, you can't fault it for the basics! Great outfit x

  7. grey t shirts, a classic and no mistake. it's not easy to find decent t shirts at all to be honest, i know what you mean about the slight thread bear ones. they suck, plus low cut ain't no good. i'm still on the quest for the perfect white t shirts, i wear them nearly every day under shirts.

  8. Ooh I love this skirt :) looking lovely!
Can't wait to see what your flat looks like :)

  11. Whenever I buy mens t-shirts my mum puts them in my brothers room and I never see them again :( I should really do my own washing but I'm too busy stalking you and Katy online... ;) xx

  12. Men's t-shirts are the best. I am forever swiping my boyfriend's when he's not looking ;)

  13. Since recent past days ,I had been looking for some updates in online mens cotton t shirts and for women as well.I think this is the perfect and a simple grey T-shirt,I have ever seen. This is good.
