Tibi flowerpop dress | Wish Want Wear
I am blogging to you directly from my new flat, huzzah! It's not too far from my beloved Sheffield, and we've been here four days now, so guess the first thing we did? Find an outfit post spot of course! Brick walls ftw.
I'm wearing the most beautiful Tibi dress, on loan from Wish Want Wear. It was such a coincidence that in the same week when I saw Selina looking truly spectacular in a Jorvani glittery number, an email popped into my inbox asking if I'd like to try out the online dresses to hire service too.
For a graduate with a pitiful bank balance, designer gear has only ever been on the radar once in a blue moon. We can all drool over Louboutin shoes in Selfridges, but I always thought loaning dresses was reserved for bride-to-bes. Not so - Wish Want Wear makes wearing these iconic brands actually possible, for a fraction of the price.
I'm not saying prancing around Morrisons in Hervé Léger is in any way appropriate and/or financially viable for the vast majority of us, but for the odd occasion where your trusty Topshop frock just isn't sparkly enough, loaning a dress is dead easy.
I chose this Tibi dress to hire over move-in week. My choices (they kindly sent me another option to the above sunflower beaut just in case it didn't fit) arrived in a flash, beautifully wrapped in tissue paper and complete with a pre-paid bag to post them back with. The whole process is really easy, you don't even have to wash them upon return. Plus, you can pretty much guarantee to avoid that "oh my god she's wearing the same dress as you" awkwardness.
I'm cheekily "borrowing" someone else's internet (shhh), so until the end of May posting may be sporadic. Still, I have a flat tour planned when we've unpacked all of our boxes, and then who knows! Fashion blogger sleepover?
