Next | AW13 Press Day

Next AW13 press dayNext AW13 press day

It's no secret I'm in love with Autumn and the clothes that come with it. Layering up with thick, woolly boyfriend coats, socks and sandals (in a good way), and getting out my Christmas pudding hat makes me squeal with delight. "Snug" is what I am for, all year round actually.

Next never disappoints, and it certainly didn't at their latest preview collection in London....

Doesn't this all look delicious? All of this dark glamour, the lace, the sparkles, the snuggliness. I'm not denying it still throws me seeing holly berries in the middle of August, but if it's possible to get into the Christmas spirit in the middle of summer, I was THERE.

My favourite pieces were, unusually, the cream princess dress. All of that Carrie-inspired tulle made me gasp, and it's looking like ornate brocade jackets will still be in the shops this year too. Other pieces which caught my eye included the cut out leather shoes (much more wearable than Jeffrey Campbells), and of course the leopard print rucksack. Next always strikes me as a brand that women of all ages can get excited about. They have their fashion forward pieces which are still wearable as well as trend led, but their coats and jackets I know my Mum would love just as much as I did.

What do you think guys? What are you looking forward to with Autumn fashion?

  5. These pieces look amazing! I barely ever look in Next (unless they're having them sales) as soon as their A/W stuff comes in, I'm definitely checking it out!

  6. Those cut out shoes... lovelovelove! Next has come on so much in the last few years- I worked there during sixth form and back then I could never find anything to spend my staff discount on... if I was still there now it'd be a very different story!

  7. I get so excited about Christmassy clothes! All the textures and patterns are always so amazing. x
