Y Not Festival | Outfit post 1

Y Not festival outfit post 1

This weekend I had a break from blogging and headed to Y Not festival in the heart of the Peak District with my mates. I saw SO many bands I love! After bawling at the Latitude coverage and trying my hardest to ignore any mention of Glastonbury, it was my turn to head to a festival - albeit a small one. With the Cribs, the Horrors and Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip headlining though, it was pretty perfect!

I took a horrendous number of photographs - more of which I'll include in a special photo diary later in the week, and discovered lots of new bands too which was nice. Gracing my playlists now will be Swim Deep, Public Service Broadcasting (awesome), and, the politician's favourite, Drenge.

Camoflage coat - vintage
Hunter wellies - Mum's
Denim shorts - vintage
Floral kimono - c/o Oasap

My choice of festival attire has become much less laboured over the years. I used to fret about what to take for weeks before an event, but this weekend I packed that morning.... Whether that's a sign of my lack of organisation or my love of spontaneity, is for you to decide.

Festivals are all about comfort, and warmth. Skimpy clothes at midday in the blazing sunshine is fine, but at 11pm in the rain and the wind, bare legs and sandals aren't much fun. I layered it up with my new floral kimono from Oasap - which a lot of people thought was vintage - my trusty denim levis and hunter wellies (thanks Mum). I accessorized with Aspalls cider all weekend, which needless to say, I'm paying for today.

Another, slightly muddier, outfit shot to come later this week!
