OOTD | Floral smock dress & studded platforms

Outfit post boots, floral smock dress and denim shirt

My goodness me, an outfit post where my hair is actually doing what I want it to! In my whole 23 and a bit years I still haven't become satisfied with my locks, but we're pretty close these days. The blonde, and the bigger, the better.

Aaaanyway. Today this outfit post might not scream fash-un, but this is a realistic image of what I look like most days.

Do you ever get rid of something, and then months or even years down the line, wonder what the hell had got into you? I have multiple such moments (the perfect pink coat, the tiger print canvas rucksack) but what stands out today is this incredible vintage sleeveless denim shirt I had and probably blogged about but it's THAT long ago I can't even find it online, let alone in my wardrobe. Srsly, that would have looked awesome with this floral smock dress from Primark. Mental note to never, ever throw anything away ever again.

Leather rucksack - H&M
Floral smock dress - Primark
Acid wash denim shirt - Primark (mens)
Studded shoe boots - c/o Shoe Zone

Instead, I'm flying the Primark flag even higher with this acid wash t-shirt from the men's section. I got it earlier this summer so might still be in the shops, but it's just something easy to throw on over a vest or band t-shirt that's lighter than my camo jacket.

I'm also rocking my newest pair of go-to boots. I hear on the wind (fm) that snow is expected, so we need to cover our toes, ladies. Cut out boots like these will not suffice, come the blizzard. These studded platforms from Shoe Zone are my replacements for my beloved ones from way back then. You can't really go wrong with a good shoe boot (and again, the pair I wish I'd kept from Clarks circa 2006, how I miss you), so the new Autumn/Winter collection from Shoe Zone hits the nail right on the head. There are buckles, studs, patent and platform, so definitely worth a nosey.

  4. Loving the winter florals trend! Such a cute dress. I ALWAYS do that, like the amazing tartan skirt I got rid of about 2 months before I realised tartan was going to be a huge trend again. *GROAN*.

  11. You look stunning, liking the hair too, really suits you. Shoe Zone is hit and miss with me, found some good buys before but sometimes the quality can let them down but I suppose for the price you can't complain too much!

  14. Looovely outfit Claire- the shirt looks fab! I've had far too many moments of longing for clothes I stupidly charity shopped, I've got really bad at ever getting rid of anything now because of it!

  17. The old "why the neck did I get rid of that" trick, it happens so much that I've stopped getting rid of stuff that still fits. Just incase. It's not a wardrobe, it's an archive darling.

I like seeing everyday looks, more realistic.
