Layering up | Pussycat London

Layers | Outfit post | #fbloggers

Happy Sunday chickens! I'm currently sat nursing a very full belly. We've had my Aunt and Uncle come over for some web tuition from Liam, so I made a fish pie and it's really lovely having family around on a lazy Sunday.

It's been a really gorgeous weekend actually. I've been quite conscious that work gets in the way of "life" lately, so everything unnecessary (including the blog) has taken a bit of a backseat. I make no apologies - people come first, right? Yesterday Liam and I went to Nottingham for the day, a spot of Christmas shopping, lunch at the AMAZING Homemade Cafe - their cajun chicken quesadillas are scrummy - and watched Philomena at Broadway cinema. I would LOVE to live in Hockley. It has it's critics; it can be very "hipster", but it's only as bad as Division Street in Sheffield, and there's always stuff going on.

Cut out boots - Sammy Dress
Cream skater dress - c/o Pussycat London
Plaid shirt - c/o Matalan
Denim jacket - Topshop
Woolly bobble hat - George

I was snug as a bug in a rug in this! There was in a chill in the air so it was a case of - wear as much of your clothing as physically possible. I've been really into tulle skirts and dresses lately, so this new skater frock from Pussycat London is getting a lot of love. I even put on a sneaky underskirt to fill it out a bit. It's worth knowing Pussycat London are offering an exclusive discount at the moment, so just enter BLOG30 at the checkout for a cheeky 30% off everything!

Plaid shirts serve me well in Autumn when you can throw them over a dress, especially when they're really soft and snug like this Matalan one. This is the first of a few pieces I was kindly sent to style from their new Statements collection (so keep your eyes peeled over the next week or so for more). Like this shirt, the collection is full of pieces that you never have to worry about going out of fashion - a well-cut blazer will always come in handy, and you can never have enough light knits.

Wherever you are, I hope you're wrapped up warm with your loved ones. I'm off to an early Bonfire Party - sparklers at the ready!
