Japanese Peace Gardens | #dpdressselfie

Every girl needs a perfect denim summer dress. I'm wholeheartedly a jeans girl so denim takes up a lot of space in my wardrobe, the style of choice currently being the acid wash "moms". But a dress takes over when the sun is shining and you want to take advantage of the breeze.

Enter this drop hem dress from Dorothy Perkins (which I've also seen Megan rockin'!) which makes me so happy. It's very swishy, loose fitted, and not that horribly heavy denim that drags you down. I think Friday officially signified the start of the summer for me, so I pranced around in this all weekend.

Dorothy Perkins kindly sent me a frock of my choice to commemorate the launch of their new dress hub on their website. They're also holding a competition to win one dress every month for a year(!) just by posting your selfie in a DP dress using the hashtag #DPDressSelfie. I've uploaded mine, have you?

Things have been super crazy this week so an afternoon at a meditative gardens was just what the doctor ordered. I've attended awards dos, taken my best friend out for her birthday to a secret location, and hung out at the T20 cricket. Yesterday I went to Kasabian's incredible summer solstice homecoming gig in Les-tah, and tonight I'm curled up with my babs feeling pretty happy to have so many amazing mates. Life is good, chaps.

  11. Oh, this dress looks so perfect on you. I haven't done the selfie thing yet - must remember! I also don't think I have any denim in my wardrobe so you can have my share, too.
